Touch-ups are for existing clients who have had their brows tattooed at Melissa Young Beauty, and are priced per treatment:

• First touch-up (4 to 8 weeks after your first treatment): $220
• 3 to 6 months: $320
• 7 to 12 months: $420
• 13 months to 3 years: $520 (another touch-up may be needed depending on fading)

No. All appointments are booked as single treatments, as not everyone needs a second appointment.

Your brow area needs to be healthy and not irritated. Before your appointment:

• No picking, tweezing, waxing or electrolysis for 1 week
• No spray tan for 2 weeks, and avoid sunburn
• No facials for at least 1 week
• No anti-wrinkle injections for 2 weeks
• No fish oil or vitamin E for 1 week, and no aspirin or ibuprofen for 48 to 72 hours
• No brow tint for 3 days
• No alcohol for 24 to 48 hours, limit coffee, and don't work out on the day
• Wash your hair the day before, as you can't wet your brows for 7 days afterwards

Anywhere from around 6 months to 2 years. It varies with your skin type, sun exposure, lifestyle and how your skin responds. Some clients need more frequent touch-ups, and different parts of the brow can hold and fade differently.

Yes. Oily, very dry, large-pored, mature or sensitive skin tends to hold pigment less than normal or combination skin, so it may need more frequent touch-ups.

Yes. Ageing, active skincare, sun exposure, medications, changes in your skin, and swimming in salt or chlorinated water can all affect how a tattoo heals and fades.

We don't recommend it while pregnant or breastfeeding, due to the anaesthetic in the numbing cream. Please let us know if you're pregnant, trying to fall pregnant or breastfeeding.
